I am glad I read it as a complete series so that I could move directly from one volume to the next. The story had a little adventure, some humor, and a dire situation to keep the reader engaged. The sanctuary survives today as one of the last strongholds of true magic in a cynical world. Grandpa Sorenson does not tell Kendra and Seth about Fablehaven being a secret preserve for magical creatures at first, but instead sets up a rather complex puzzle involving six keys and a locked journal for Kendra to solve.

The first book started a bit slow for me, but once the secrets started to reveal themselves, then the book became a lot of fun to read. Fablehaven is about siblings Seth and Kendra Sorenson who find out their grandfather and grandmother run Fablehaven, one of the last places mythical creatures can live in peace. They are not compatible with Kindle or other e-reader devices.
Just a fun family-friendly fantasy with plenty of things to talk about.

The first 4 books of Fablehaven earned a solid 5 stars due to great humor, difficult social situations, enjoyable characters, and a compelling storyline. The Satyrs are hilarious in my mind. I would reccomend this book to anyone fablehaen any age looking for a thrilling novel series to read.
I enjoyed the parts where Seth tricks his younger cousin, Knox, into doing things that benefit him. The New York Times. I thought that the series and the characters matured from book to book and I was consistently entertained by the stories. I’m so glad I got a chance to re-read this one, it’s just amazing!

I would recommend this series to all ages from 8 to Brandon Mulls imagination came to life in these books and I absolutly love them. They do not afblehaven on fablehaven.
