This was a brutal read. I finally decided on 4 stars for the journey the author took me on. Exquisite Corpse by Poppy Z. Published exquisiiteBrite was obviously fascinated by Jeffrey Dahmer, and presumably longed for a phallus of her own with which to plumb his depths while engaged in an orgy of self-mutilation and unbound buggery, if only to be rewarded by the acquisition of HIV to justify her deeds.

So okay, this is some warped stuff, but if you can get over the serial killing, cannibalism, and necrophilia, all rendered in loving detail, it’s a compelling little read. I closed this book feeling excessively sick, which I’m pretty sure is what the author was going for.
